Born from the Social Gastronomy Movement as a solidarity campaign in October 2020 as food insecurity began to rise worldwide, the #UniversalPlate unites chefs, academics, farmers, corporations, municipalities, and individuals to cook and share meals with those in need in their local communities.

Between October 12th and 19th, people from over 74 countries will join the movement to serve meals to show the world the impact we can have when we act together toward transforming food systems.
