Born from the Social Gastronomy Movement as a solidarity campaign in October 2020 as food insecurity began to rise worldwide, the #UniversalPlate unites chefs, academics, farmers, corporations, municipalities, and individuals to cook and share meals with those in need in their local communities.

Whether you are a youth activist, food service professional, community leader, educator, or someone who believes in the power of food to transform local realities, everyone can participate.
