SGM Summit 2022 - social gastronomy in Action
Our hybrid global Summit lasting over 6 weeks from September 1 - October 16. A record of 71 million meals served as a result of the Social Gastronomy Movement’s collective efforts.

The Social Gastronomy Summit gathered the core team, the thinking partners, and our sponsors. The agenda included a site visit, brainstorming sessions on the future strategy of the Social Gastronomy Movement, and various local events centering on innovation and gastronomy.

the Virtual sgm food solidarity gathering OCTOBER 16-23 2020
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we could not have our Annual SGM Summit. Instead, we hosted a series of virtual events. In our week-long online experience, we joined together our community to engage, and connect with others who are leading Social Gastronomy initiatives around the world. Over 669 participants joined us to explore how we can use food to foster and strengthen cross-sector connections, collaborations, and partnerships.

Rio de Janeiro - 2017
Ashoka selected Gastromotiva to take part in the Ashoka Globalizer acceleration process. The team worked on the initial idea of the Movement and on how it can drive system change.
Davos - January 2018
Gastromotiva and Cargill announce the SGM during the World Economic Forum in Davos, kicking off a two-year pilot phase to build the SGM’s foundation. WEF is all about exchanging ideas with other world leaders and change-makers.
