The World’s 50 Best Bid for Recovery Auction Begins Today!
Starting today, food lovers can take part in gastronomical delights and contribute to a collective mission of industry recovery and food security with The World’s 50 Best Bid to Recovery Auction. Part of the 50 Best for Recovery Programme, the auction runs from July 3-12, 2020.
The World’s 50 Best is an official partner of the SGM Food Solidarity Fund who are developing solutions for relief and recovery, and providing food security to those in need. With their initial donation we were able to kick off our fund and also support Social Gastronomy organizations on the front lines around the world.
During this auction, bidders from around the globe have the opportunity to win very unique gastronomic experiences. Over 150 lots have been generously donated by some of the world’s top chefs, restaurants, bartenders, and vineyards.
Some of the featured lots include:
A day with the world-famous chef Mauro Colagreco at the Mirazur restaurant in France
A Mezcal appreciation class at the Coa bar in Hong Kong
A food & wine experience with the Piazza Duomo restaurant in Italy
A two-day luxury Wynn Palace gastronomic experience with chef André Chiang in Macau and many more …
The aim of this auction is to support the global hospitality industry in their post-pandemic recovery. The proceeds from the auction will be distributed to restaurants, bars and non-profit organisations supporting the sector, including the Social Gastronomy Movement.
