Round Table in Rio on women empowerment in kitchens
On April 12th the SGM Hub in Rio de Janeiro organized a round table discussion under the theme: "Gender relations, labor market and female entrepreneurship: a woman's place is also in the kitchen". During this first meeting as part of the Rio Hub round table series, issues related to women´s prominence and role in the area of gastronomy were discussed.
Chefs Bianca Barbosa, from the restaurant Aconchego Carioca, and Andressa Cabral, from Meza Bar, together with Amanda Ribeiro, former Gastromotiva student who is in charge of the Carioca's Gourmet food truck, were invited to be part of the panel. They are all women entrepreneurs within the gastronomic scene in the city of Rio de Janeiro and use food as a tool for social innovation. Guests registered online and we had a full house!
This round table series promotes the engagement of professionals and students from the gastronomic area by discussing cross cutting topics on the social work carried out by Gastromotiva.
